Charter Way, Stockton, CA(Figure .1) <br /> Dear Mr. Pedraza: <br /> Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. (Ground Zero) submits this Underground Storage Tank Closure Report on <br /> behalf of Woolsey Oil, Inc. to document the activities conducted at the subject property. <br /> On July 13, 1999, during excavation activities on the subject.property, one 350 gallon underground <br /> storage tank(UST) was discovered. On July 16, 1999, under permit issued by the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division. (PHS%EHD) Johnson Petroleum Service <br /> removed the UST. The tank was identified as.number 39-51.5216 and was-assumed to have formerly <br /> contained waste oil. Figure 2 depicts the location of the fonner UST. - <br /> Prior to removal the tank was exposed, urn ed.d and inerted through the application of d ice. <br /> P � P P -dry g PP �' � <br /> Upon completion of the inerting procedure, the tank was removed and examined for compromises of <br /> tank integrity. Upon examination it was noted that a small puncture and crack had developed along the <br /> seam on the west side of the tank. Some surface rust was also present on the west end. Observations <br /> of tank condition are recorded in the Tank Removal Soil:Sampling Report included as Attachment,A to <br /> this letter. Residual tank contents and rinsate were transportedto Ramos Environmental in <br /> Sacramento by Asbury Environmental Services under hazardous"waste inanifest No. 99239224. The <br /> UST was transported to Triangle, Inc. in Sacramento-for disposal recycling. Copies of the hazardous <br /> waste manifest and the tank disposition tracking records.are included in Attachment B. <br /> Two soil samples were collected by Ground Zero personnel:under the direction of PHS/EHD. One <br /> sample was collected from native soil in the UST pit at a-depth of 9 feet, and one composite sample <br /> was collected from the stockpiled soil. <br />
