Roberts Oil Company <br />Project No. 1628G <br />REPORT OF MONITORING WELL SAMPLING <br />AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br />FOR <br />ROBERTS OIL COMPANY <br />930 VICTOR ROAD <br />LODI, CALIFORNIA <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />May 23, 1988 <br />Page 1 <br />This report presents the analytical results of monitoring and sampling <br />conducted on March 31, 1988 and April 14, 1988 at a Roberts Oil Company Bulk <br />Distribution Plant in Lodi, California. This report also presents <br />recommendations and costs for concluding the facilities contamination <br />assessment activities. <br />The bulk plant is located at 930 Victor Road in Lodi, California (Figure 1). The <br />facility consists of a warehouse, an above ground storage tank farm, transfer <br />block, loading area, and an underground storage tank farm, all enclosed within a <br />fenced perimeter. <br />Previous site assessment activities were conducted by J.H. Kleinfelder and <br />Associates in April 1985 and April 1987. Eight soil borings and four ground- <br />water monitoring wells were drilled and installed during the assessment <br />operations. The Kleinfelder activities detected petroleum contamination in <br />the soil and ground water which they -attributed to an inadvertent diesel fuel <br />release into the environment. Soil contamination at the site is limited to the <br />soils underlying the eastern portion of the above ground storage tank farm and <br />the area between the tank farm and the loading area (Figure 2).
