(Ground Zero) submits this Subsurface Investigation Summary'Report <br /> on behalf of Woolsey Oil,Inc. -Cardlock Facility(Woolsey)to summarize subsurface investigation <br /> I. activities conducted at the subject property and to present a workplan for interim remediation of <br /> contaminated soil and groundwater. The location of the site is shown on Figure 1• . <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 1.1 Purpose <br /> The purpose of the investigation was to define the vertical and lateral extent of soil contamination <br /> and to determine if groundwater has been impacted by an unauthorized release of gasoline and <br /> diesel fuel from the underground storage tanks (UST's) and appurtenant lines and dispensers <br /> .formerly located at the facility. In addition, soil borings were advanced and samples collected <br /> within an area proposed for use as backfill material <br /> 1.2 Limitations <br /> This assessment was performed utilizing methods and procedures consistent with ,good <br /> commercial or customary practices designed to conform to acceptable industry standards.
