Set up a 1,600 sq. ft. x 4 fit. depth <br /> remediation pond for the cleanup rinsoate and tested the sub-tank soil <br /> -- by means of a portable Gas Chromatograph. <br /> 9.1.3 CLEANING OF 'OANKS WITH SEA'WATER AND BNC/100 SURFACTANT <br /> r ' With the unavailability of fresh water, the tanks were cleaned with a <br /> combination of sea water and our BNC/100 biodegradable surfactant. <br /> The rinsate was collected in the lined sump, accumulated to three feet <br /> depth, with about four inches of floating oil. <br /> 9.1.4 TRl'3ATMENT <br /> The system was iueulated with B1O11W arguaisms and treated fx- s <br /> period of farm weeks, after which time the four inch thick oil layer wav <br /> biodegraded .into carbon diode and water. The thin residual scram was <br /> deterndned to be togany inert and landIM disposable.
