Charter <br /> Stockton, CA Stockton, CA Stockton, CA <br /> We are required by the State Health Department to conform <br /> with the California Administrative Code which states that each <br /> utility is to assure that its piping system is protected against <br /> backflow from the consumer ' s premises into the water utility' s <br /> piping system. <br /> The San Joaquin. .Local, Health .District ' s inspection of the <br /> above premises discovered conditions which are not in compliance <br /> with the California' Administrative 'Code . , This review revealed <br /> the following conditions : <br /> *The use of hazardous chemicals at .the above premises along <br /> with water supplied to you by California Water Service , Company <br /> (Se'e Attached) . ,' <br /> The. 'above conditions will present backflow hazards to the <br /> public supply. To 'correct these. conditions in conformance kith <br /> regulations of the State and bounty Health Departments , the <br /> California Water Service Company requires one of the following: <br /> 1. - Installing adequate prpteetve devices behind the <br /> i+ater. meters (See the 'atta¢hed Approved Reduced Pressure <br /> Principle Devices).; or ' <br /> 2. Discontinuance ofiour . services..' . <br /> Should you el ect .to I nstall "the 15rotectiVe devices noted <br /> above, they should be instailed -as' close as. practically possible <br /> behind the water service' m.eter boxes.. The devices must be <br /> installed above ground. to._ permit. visual observation of air <br /> or water discharge should pressures develop in your systems <br />
