Charter Way (APN: 155-140-07) <br /> Stockton, CA 95208 <br /> The attached"Notice of Responsibility" is official notification that your site has been assigned to <br /> the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division's Local Oversight <br /> Program for oversight of assessment and clean up activities at contaminated underground storage <br /> tank sites. <br /> The goal of the site evaluation performed by Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS-EHD) is to certify closures of underground storage tank leakage sites pursuant to <br /> California Code of Regulations, Division 3, Chapter 16, Article 11 (Corrective Action Regulations). <br /> These regulations govern the investigation and mitigation activities at leaking underground <br /> storage tank sites. To obtain a copy, please contact the SWRCS at(916)657-2390. Remedial <br /> Action Completion certification occurs only after PHS/EHD has determined that no further <br /> site investigation or remedial action is required. <br /> In previous correspondence (March 7, 1994), PHS-EHD notified you that further investigation of <br /> the site was needed. In order to determine if the contaminants detected during the October 18, <br /> 1990 underground tank removal have impacted the groundwater beneath the site, a workplan for <br /> further investigation is now required. The proposal should address the lateral and vertical limits of <br /> the soil contamination and should include gathering and analyzing soil and groundwater samples. <br /> This plan should be submitted to PHS-EHD for review by June 16, 1997.
