Will react vigorously with <br /> oxi—'3izing materials . <br /> NFPA Reactivity: Not available <br /> Incompati i sties (Materials to Avoid): Heat, strong oxidizers, hydrogen <br /> peroxide and active metals, particu ar y potassium and sodium. <br /> Hazardous Decomposition Products: When heated, releases toxic fumes and <br /> lead oxides . <br /> Hazardous Polymerization: No information was found. <br /> SECTION IX. SPILL, LEAK OR DISPOSAL PROCEDURES <br /> Actions To Take in Case of Spills or Leaks: Restrict from areas of <br /> spills or leaks persons not wearing protective equipment and clothing. <br /> Eliminate sources of ignition. Ventilate area. Inform supervisor or <br /> health and safety officer of any spill or leak . While protecting against <br /> eye and skin contact and inhalation of vapors , take the following steps: <br /> o Solid: Shovel or sweep solid into suitable container, and cover. <br /> o Liquid: Contain spill . Prevent leakage into confined spaces or <br /> sewer drains . Where feasible, absorb liquid with vermiculite, sand, <br /> or other non—combustible absorbent material . Collect in suitable <br /> container and cover. <br /> o Gas: Ventilate area to keep gas concentration below flammability <br /> Timit. Stop the gas flow. If leak cannot be stopped, move <br /> container to safe place in open air and allow to empty. <br /> Disposal Methods: Federal laws and regulations impose highly specific <br /> requirements or disposal of toxic and otherwise hazardous materials . <br /> Consult with your supervisor or health and safety officer regarding the <br /> proper , legal disposal procedures for this substance. Do not dispose of <br /> potentially toxic or otherwise hazardous substances without appropriate <br /> authorization. Prior to receiving institutional authorization, it may be <br /> necessary to store spilled materials. To do so safely, carefully label <br /> containers of materials , store in a cool , dry location, and maintain <br /> security of the storage area until official guidance is obtained. <br /> SECTION X. SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION <br /> Respiratory Protection: Only NIOSH or MSHA approved equipment should be <br /> used.
