San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor Stockton, California 95201-0388 Subject: Soil Sample Results for New Monitoring Wells 1904 West Charter Way Stockton, California Dear Mr. Infurna: As you requested, I have enclosed the QA/QC review of the laboratory analytical results (and laboratory Form 1 results) for soil samples collected at and in the vicinity of the 1904 West Charter Way facility in Stockton, California. To evaluate the need for conductor casing across the shallow water bearing zone, soil samples were collected at depths of 10 and 20 feet below ground surface(bgs) from Exploration Boring 16 (EXP-16) located approximately 300 feet upgradient of the Facility (Figure 1). Soil samples were also collected at depths of 10, 20, 30, and 40 feet bgs from Exploration Boring 18 (EXP-18) located adjacent to shallow monitoring well MW-7 on the Facility (Figure 1). These soil samples were submitted to the laboratory for analysis of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)by EPA Method 8260. The laboratory data was validated by Glenn Springs Holdings, Inc. The soil samples from EXP-16 and EXP-18 did not contain detectable concentrations of VOCs. In accordance with the installation permit for these wells,the intermediate zone monitoring wells installed in the vicinity of EXP-16 and EXP-18 will be installed without the use of conductor casing across the shallow water bearing zone.
