site.
W The halogenated hydrocarbons, including 1,2-Dichloropropane, are components of
pesticides. The presence of the pesticide in the groundwater is likely the result of the
substance being used or stored on the property. According to the laboratory analysis, a
significant portion of the gasoline range compounds detected in MW-4 and MW-5 are due
to the presence of halogenated volatiles.
Residual soil contamination was allowed to remain in place after the monitoring wells were
installed. PHS/EHD requested remediation of this contamination, and GeoAudit submitted
a work plan in December 1993 to drill additional borings to assess the extent of this
contamination. GeoAudit also recommends that additional groundwater samples be
obtained, either by hydropunch or from monitoring wells, to investigate the extent of
groundwater contamination east of MW-2.
.J
6.0 LIMITATIONS —
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily
exercised by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings
were mainly based upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory.
Evaluations of the geologic conditions at the site have been made from a limited number
of available data points, and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points.
No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations
contained in this report.
.J
10
N.S.QMn-%%40-s
.J
