Charter Way <br /> Stockton, CA 95206 <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division(PHS/EHD)has <br /> not received a quarterly monitoring report for the second quarter of 1993 which was due <br /> July 15, 1993. <br /> Pursuant to Section 2652(d) of the Underground Storage Tank Regulations(California Code <br /> of Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 16) a quarterly monitoring report shall be submitted to <br /> PHS/EHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) until <br /> the investigation and cleanup of the site is deemed adequate. The third quarterly report <br /> should be submitted by October 15, 1993. The report is to show the: <br /> t� <br /> -status of investigation and cleanup activities including the results of all <br /> investigations completed to date; <br /> -proposed continuing or next phase of investigation; <br /> -method of cleanup proposed or implemented, schedules for the completion <br /> of the investigation of the site and remediation; <br /> -method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substance and any <br /> contaminated soil, groundwater or surface water; <br /> -manifest required for transport of hazardous substances; <br /> -monitoring well data including groundwater elevation, pH, conductivity, <br /> gradient; <br /> -analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling; and <br /> -site map showing the "zero line" of contamination, if known, and changes in <br /> the above measurements over the last quarter. <br /> Include in all your quarterly analysis from all wells EPA method 601 for volatile halocarbons <br /> in groundwater. A workplan for soil and groundwater investigation at the diesel tank area <br /> is now overdue. PHS/EHD directs you to submit this workplan by September 14, 1993. <br /> Contaminated soil in the area of the gasoline tanks should be excavated to prevent further <br /> leaching of the contaminants from the soil to the groundwater and expedite groundwater <br /> remediation.
