Where applicable,
cone penetrometer technology may be used for collection of soil, vapor, and ground water
samples. The Board shall be notified five days in advance of drilling.
After several rounds of monitoring results have been reviewed, the sampling schedule may be
modified, at the discretion of the Board.
Table 1: Ground Water Monitoring for Petroleum Hydrocarbons
The ground water monitoring program for petroleum hydrocarbons shall consist of the following:
Type of Sampling Sample Analytical
Parameters Units Sample Frequency Locations Method
Depth to ground water Feet ---- Quarterly All Wells ----
Purgeable Aromatic Organics gg/l Grab Quarterly All Wells EPA Method 8020*
Purgeable Halogenated Organics gg/l Grab Quarterly All Wells, Except EPA Method 8010*
MW6, MW10, MW11
Ethylenedibromide µg/1 Grab Quarterly MW14 EPA Method 8010
TPH as gasoline gg/l Grab Quarterly All Wells LUFr Method GCFID
' All constituents and peaks in ground water samples are to be reported.
