Box 1210
Lodi, CA 95241
PILOT STUDY MONITORING PROGRAM, GEWEKE, 16 SOUTH CHEROKEE LANE, LODI,
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
On 4 February 1994, I met with your consultants, Bob Marty and Vic Cherven of Geological Audit,
to discuss the monitoring program for the pilot study. The pilot study began on 2 February 1994,
when five wells were inoculated with bacteria. Monitoring for the pilot study began on Monday,
7 February 1994. I have enclosed a memorandum containing the details of the monitoring program
for the pilot study.
Based on the results of the pilot study, we may be able to make decisions about the efficiency of
insitu bioremediation. The monitoring program for the entire remediation system may be based on
the results of the pilot study.
By 11March 1994, submit the data and a summary of the results of the first month of pilot study
monitoring. Include in this report, the analytical methods for all analyses, particularly, for the
bacterial counts and identification. Also include rationale for not monitoring for other gases
produced by anaerobic processes. If no differences are noted in CO2 and OZ gas concentrations, then
monitoring for N2 and CH4 must be included in the March 1994 monitoring for the pilot study.
If you have any questions, call me at (916) 255-3133.
LE'AL--1BETH A.
