(AGE). The Report provides the <br /> analytical results (see enclosed Figures 2 through 5 and Table 3) from the groundwater monitoring <br /> event conducted 3 December 2007 at your site. Depth to water varied from 57 to 61 feet below ground <br /> surface. The downgradient groundwater direction was towards the south at a varying gradient of <br /> 0.001 ft/ft (onsite) to 0.003 ft/ft (off-site). Maximum groundwater concentrations in micrograms per <br /> Liter (ug/L) were reported in offsite monitoring well MW-9 as Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as <br /> gasoline, 4,000 micrograms per Liter (ug/L); ethylbenzene, 32 ug/L; toluene, 3.1 ug/L; xylenes, <br /> 23 ug/L, and 1,2-dichloroethane, 5 ug/L. <br /> The Report states the ozone injection system, which was suspended temporarily in January 2007 for a <br /> rebound test and restarted in April 2007 due to rebound in concentrations on-site, was effective for <br /> reductions in concentrations for constituents of concern on-site. <br /> The Report recommends: <br /> • Continued groundwater monitoring under CAO No. 93-701, <br /> • Continued operations of the ozone injections system, and <br /> • Preparation for site closure, based on the site conditions demonstrating a decline in dissolved <br /> contamination in on-site ground water and stable contamination off-site. <br /> At this time your site does not meet the criteria for a low risk case closure consideration. The off-site <br /> MW-9 has not demonstrated stable or declining concentrations during the last four quarters. Another <br /> rebound test will be necessary before closure can be considered.
