14 <br /> Laboratory Analytical Quality Assurance <br /> In addition to routine calibration of the instruments with standards and blanks and <br /> preventive maintenance, the analyst is required to run spikes and duplicate spikes on 5 percent <br /> Of the analyses to ensure an added measure of precision and accuracy. Accuracy is also <br /> verified through the following: <br /> I• <br /> Certification by California Department of Health Services. <br /> 2• Intralaboratory check samples from EPA, commercial sources, and the Internal <br /> Quality Control Officer. <br /> 3. Regular performance and system audits conducted by the laboratory director and <br /> Quality Control Officer. <br /> PROJECT SCHEDULE <br /> This section provides a schedule for completion of the work describt.d in this work plan. <br /> The starting date of each phase of field work will depend on review and approval of this work <br /> plant and on driller availability. <br /> On-Site Soil Characterization <br /> Borehole'ririlling and soil sampling will take I to 2 weeks tc.complete. Laboratory <br /> analyses will taire an additional 2 to 3 weeks. <br /> Well Redevelopment and Sampling <br /> Well redevelopment should take I week to complete. Wel! sampling should take an <br /> additional week to complete, and laborato <br /> analyses ses sh <br /> y ould take an additional � <br /> beyond [Elsa. oval .. to 3 weeks <br /> Monitoring Well <br /> Borehole 'drilling, monitoring well installation, well development, and groundwater <br /> sampling will take approximately I week to cornplete,pending the property owners, permission <br /> to drift.- laboratory analyses will take an additional 2 to 3 weeks. <br /> Problent Assmsment Report <br /> After completion of all the tasks described in this work plan, a problem assessment report <br /> will be prepared. The report will be issued approximately 4 .o 5 weeks after all tasks have <br /> been completed. <br />
