This report presents the methods us.d in the investigation and the results of the <br /> investigation. The purpose of this investigation was to attempt to determine the full extent of <br /> hydrocarbons resulting from possible release of hydrocarbon products from underground storage <br /> tanks (UST's)at the GLDM site. As a result of the issuance of Cleanup and Abatement Order <br /> No. 90-702 by the California Regional Water Quality C.)ntrol Board, Central Valley Region <br /> (Regional Board), this investigation was initiated (a copy or""the order is presented in Appendix <br /> A. BCC's March Ifl, 1990 work pla.7 was subtaitted to, as required, and accept,d by the <br /> Regional Board. A copy of the April 4, 1990 leiter from the Rogional Board accepting the work _ <br /> ,a <br /> plan is included in Appendix A of this report. <br /> This investigation includes two phases. 1-he first phase involved the redevelopment and <br /> sampling of the five existing monitoring welts on the site. The second phase included the <br /> �hy <br /> installation and sampling of four zdditional monitoring wells. Two of these wells were insmlied <br /> off site and two were installed on site. <br /> Background <br /> Detailed site background information is included in BCC's March 10, 1990, Work Pian <br /> (Appendix A). A summary is presented below. <br /> The site is the former location of a Gas-N-Save gasoline station.
