As a result of this, the data presented in this section for these soil samples will only be
... used as a qualitative indicator for the presence of hydrocarbons. These wells will be resampled ."
and the analytical results be submitted as soon as they become available.
The results of these samples avid samples collected i:r previous sampling events, from wells
MW-1 through MW-5, are presented in Table 4-4. The Brown and Caldwell Analytic.d
Laboratory reports for the samples are included in this report as Appendix F.
s
- The groundwater samplts from eight of the nine monitoring wells at the site contain
identifiable concentrations of BETX(monitoring well MW-1 and MW-3 through MW-9). Of the
monitoring wells where BETX concentrations were identified, MW-6 was the only one with
r concentrations below California Department of Health Services(DHS)MCLs. The groundwater
from MW-7 contained only minor BETX concentrations aithough the benzene concentration
exceeds the DHS MCLS. Figure 4-1 presents benzene concentration contours for the GLDM site.
Six of the nine wells (MW-1, MW-3 through MW-5, and MW-7 through MW-9) had
identifiable concentrations of TPH. The highest concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons occur
in the groundwater from MW-4 (7,800 micrograms per liter(µg/1)).
Survey Information
On July 17, 1990, the elevation of all nine of the wells were surveyed by a California
licensed professional surveyor. The wells were surveyed from a City of Lodi bench mark(brass
monument) located on the top of the curb on the northeast corner of the intersection of North .
Garfield and East Pine Streets. This bench mark is located ;approximately two blocks from the
site. The water-level elevations in all of the wells were measured usirn the elevations obtained
from this survey. Table 4-5 presents the elevations from the survey, as well as water-level
measurements.
