4
21 July 1991
(GeoAudit MDG Ukiah-1.9)
Space limitations prevents the use of all the "clean" soil as
backfill . Therefore, GeoAudit proposes to transport the "clean"
soil from treatment cell "C" (approximately 550 cubic yards) off-
site for disposal.
DRUM SAMPLING
Nine 55-gallon drums of water are present on-site. In order to
determine whether the water, which was purged from the wells during
the previous monitoring period, still contains hydrocarbon
contaminants, a composite sample of the contents was collected and
analyzed for TPH as gasoline and BTE&X. Three of the nine drums
were empty or contained very small quantities of water and
therefore could not be sampled. The same analytical protocol was
used for this water samples.
No TPH as gasoline or BTE&X were detected in the composite sample
from the drums. Since no contamination is present in the sample
from the drums and their contents do not pose a threat to
groundwater, GeoAudit proposes to dispose of the remaining contents
of the drums on the property.
I
If you have any questions or comments, please contact our office.
Sincerely,
GEOLOGICAL AUDIT SERVICES, INC.
Bob Marty Joshua Ong, Ph.D.
Staff Geologist Senior Project Hydrogeologist
Registered Geologist No. 4725
Enclosures
cc: Mr. Eugene Huber, P.E. , R.
