1 1 9 4.0 QUALITY ASSURANCEIQUALITY CONTROL ' Monitoring wells 6 through 14 were purged and sampled using a new, sanitary, disposable bailer at all sampling points. ' Extraction well EW-1 was purged with a 3" electric submersible pump and sampled using a new, sanitary, disposable bailer. ' The depth to water was measured prior to sampling each monitoring well. Each well was then purged of a minimum of three well volumes, or until the temperature, conductivity and pH parameters had stabilized (Appendix B). The wells were then ' allowed to recover to within 90% of their original water levels prior to sampling. Purge water from the sampling activities is currently being stored on-site, in metal drums, for later treatment and/or disposal. The samples were carefully poured from the disposable bailer, into clean glass VOA'S ' provided by the laboratory. Care was taken to ensure that no air space existed in the vials, by inverting to check for bubbles. The samples were immediately placed on iced storage for delivery to Sherwood Labs, Hilmar, California. The samples were under no circumstances opened by anyone other, than qualified laboratory personnel. The samples were analyzed within the sample life-span limits as set forth by EPA guidelines for the specific tests to be run. ' The groundwater samples were analyzed by a California certified laboratory (Sherwood Labs Corp.) for 601, 602, and TTLC-Pb (All required analyses were included in these EPA Methods).
