Thayer:
f
The purpose of this letter is to report the data obtained during the February monitoring of
the in-situ bioremediation pilot test at 16 South Cherokee Lane. The monitoring activities
were designed during the February 4, 1994 meeting between Geological Audit Services, Inc.
(OeoAudit) and CVRWQCB personnel, and subsequently documented and scheduled in
GeoAudit's February 7, 1994 letter to Elizabeth Thayer. -
The blower installed on-site was turned off during the collecti9n-of all samples, regardless
of type (i.e. vapor, water, soil). Additionally, the blower was turned off to the southern
portion of the site (VW-1, VW-7) after the February 17 sampling.
RUUNDWATER MONITORING
`'BocUrki Analysis
February 2, immediately following bacterial inoculation, a groundwater sample was
collected from EW-1. This sample was then analyzed for the presence of bacteria, to provide
control data on the abundance and variety of bacteria in the groundwater prior to the pilot
test. Four bacterial species, totalling approximately 7,500/ml, were observed in this sample.
The results are shown in Table 1.
Since inoculation, groundwater samples were collected from MW-14 on February 7, 10, 14,
06.e0fti Am&logia..pec. 1
aa'e y,n.man9e
