Each well was then purged of a minimum of
three well volumes, or until the temperature, conductivity
and PH parameters had stabilized (Appendix B) . The wells
were then allowed to recover to within 90% of their original
water levels prior to sampling.
Purge water from the sampling activities is currently being
stored on-site, in metal drums, for later treatment and/or
disposal.
The samples were carefully poured from the disposable bailer,
into clean glass VOA'S provided by the laboratory. Care was
taken to ensure that no air space existed in the vials, by
I inverting to check for bubbles.
The samples were immediately placed in iced storage for
delivery to Sherwood Labs Corporation, 8071 N. Lander Avenue,
Hilmar, California. The samples were under no circumstances
opened by anyone other than qualified laboratory personnel.
The samples were analyzed within the sample life-span limits
as set forth by EPA guidelines for the specific tests to be
run.
I The groundwater samples were analyzed by a California certified
laboratory (Sherwood Labs Corp. ) using EPA method 602 for BTEX
analysis, with a detection limit of 0. 3 ug/Kg, and EPA method
5030/Mod. 8015 for TPH-Gasoline analysis, with a detection limit
of 50. 0 ug/L.
t,
STE Project No. 4001
Page 7
