Quarterly Report - Second Quarter 2005
GEWEKE LAND DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING
16 South Cherokee Lane,Lodi, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
At the request of Mr. Dale Gillespie of G-REM, and in accordance with Cleanup and Abatement
Order No. 93-701, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this report of
environmental activities performed at 16 South Cherokee Lane,Lodi, California during the Second
Quarter of 2005. The scope of work included the performance of a quarterly ground water
monitoring event and the preparation of this report. The site and its surroundings are illustrated on
Figure 1. Monitoring wells, remediation wells and boring locations related to the site are shown on
Figure 2.
Results of previous investigations are detailed in the Problem Assessment Report (PAR), the
Quarterly Report-March 1996 and the Quarterly Report-March and June 1999.Analytical results
for ground water samples from previous monitoring events are included in Table 5 of this report.
2.0. PROCEDURES
• Field work was performed in accordance with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board(CVRWQCB)Revised Monitoring and Reporting Program(MRP)No.93-701,dated 27 June
2001; under MRP No. 93-701, wells MW-7 through MW-9, MW-12, and MW-14 were to be
sampled on a quarterly basis, and all wells sampled on an annual basis. However, since June 2001,
wells with detectable 1,2-dichloroethane concentrations (EW-1, MW-4 and MW-11), as well as
newly constructed wells, have been added to the list of wells to be sampled on a quarterly basis. This
quarter wells EW-1, MW-7, MW-8, MW-9, MW-11, MW-12 and MW-14 through MW-22 were
sampled.
2.1. WELL MONITORING AND PURGE PROCEDURES
On 01 June 2005,twenty three on-and off-site ground water wells were monitored for depth to water
and purged and sampled.A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
to the nearest 0.01-foot in all twenty-three wells relative to the tops of the well casings. The ground
water elevation in each well was calculated by subtracting the depth to ground water from the
surveyed well casing elevation (Table 1).
After water levels were measured, well MW-14 was purged using a new disposable plastic bailer.
Wells EW-1, MW-7, MW-8, MW-9, MW-11, MW-12 and MW-15 through MW-22 were purged
using a Waterra Inertial Pump.
Approximately 6 gallons of water (a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes per well) were removed
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
