Please
provide a discussion of the soil contamination encountered at CPT-2 in the CPT Report Addendum
including any soil samples collected for analysis, or any photo ionization detector readings measured-
2 Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg)were identified in eight of the nine groundwater grab
samples ranging in concentration from 60 micrograms per liter(µg/1) to 500 gg/l, and raugmg in depth
from 72 to 134 feet. A discussion of this TPHg contamination with depth was not presented, and a
proposal to verify the groundwater contamination identified during the CPT mvestzgation or to install
deeper monitoring wells was not included with the CPT Report With this work, the vertical extent of
groundwater contamination remains undefined Please provide a discussion of the groundwater
contamination identified during this CPT investigation(for example, how does the contamination
identified fit into the conceptual model for this site), and provide a proposal to verify groundwater
contamination identified dining the CPT investigation.
3 Extensive subsurface investigation work has been completed at tins site, yet geologic cross-section A-A'
. provided in the CPT Report only included data for three monitorinK,wells (MW-5,MW-14, and MW-4)
California Environmental Protection Agency
0 Ree--W P.P...
'Phe energy challenge facing California is real Every Cahfnrntan needs to talcs nratiedeaw action to reduce energy comwmptinn.
For a lest of simple ways you can reduce derrmnd and+ort your enter outs, sec our Web-ate at http.#w swrcb ca.govirwgcb5
