. 1 Oanuary 2,0,01
AGE'NC-Project No: 95-01.09
Page 3 of 4
3.2." . PETROLEUM HYDROCARBON-IMPACTED GROUND WATER .
Petroleurl hydrocarbonswere detected in';ground water samples from,four of the seven wells
sampled. TPH-g concentrations ranged up to 2,900 micrograms per liter (µg/1}. Benzene,.toluene,
eth lbenzene and xylenes were detected at coriccintrations.as,hiih as 216 Az 1, 110 4g/1, 100µg/1 and
510µg/1,respectively-The highest concentrations were.detected in samples collected froni MW-8 .-
: e' and MW-14. Petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected inth ,samples collected, from MW-6;
MW-11 and MW-12. The results of analysis by EPA Method 8015m/602 for the December 2000. .
monitoring event are presented on Table 4. Historical analytical results by EPA Method 8015m/602
are summarized in Table S....
1,2-Dichloraethane(1,2-DCA)was detected in MW-7,MW=S and MW-14 at concentrations'as great
as 15.ppb Four additional,analytes; detected by EPA Method 8260, are noted'in Table 6. Fuel
oxygenated,compounds.were not detected in the samples collected:' The laboratory report (MAI
Laboratory 1. D. Nos. 56437 through 56443) and chain-of custody forms are included in Appendix ;
B.
• 4.0. DISCUSSION-AND CONCLUSIONS
Based upon data collected,from the site, AGE'finds: '
Ground water elevations increased at"the site an average of 0.39 feet during the fourth quarter
' of 2000. Ground water flow direction'is toward'the.south at the site.
Hydrocarbon concentration's in groundwater generally decreased at the site between the
September and December 2000 sampling events; but,appear to be within the normal range ;
' o£concentrations detected in'each well over time : r ;
'
Fuel Ioxygenates.were not detected,in the'ground,water samples collected during the fourth
' gdarter,2000 monitoring event.
' 5.0. 'RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon data collected from the site, AGE recommends-continued quarterly monitoring of the
' site, the next-riion'itoring.eVeht is scheduled for March 2001.
Concentrations of petroleum.,hydrocarbons have remained relatively stable over the past two years,
'i but are too high .to warrant' site closure. AGE is',preparing a ground water pump-and-treat
remediation,work plan to mitigate the remaining hydrocarbons on-site.
Advanced Ge6Envir0nmenta1,Inc.
