INTRODUCTION <br /> T <br /> '—At-the request of Mr Dale Gillespie of G-REM, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE} has _ r <br /> prepared this Additional Monitoring Welll`nstallation Work Plan for the property located at 16 South <br /> Cherokee Lane,Lodi,California(site)and the surrounding area The location of the site is illustrated <br /> on Figure 1 A site plan is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> The gasoline additive 1,2-DCA has been detected in"first"groundwater in the down-gradient well <br /> MW-16 over the past four quarters and in eastern perimeter well MW-7 over the past six quarters, <br /> consequently,the Central Valley Regional Water Quality`Control Board(CVRWQCB),in the letter <br /> dated 29 October 2003, has required additional work to define the lateral extent of 1,2-DCA- <br /> impacted ground water This work plan details the scope of work for installation, development and <br /> quarterly monitoring of two additional ground water monitoring wells, a third well may be installed <br /> if analysis of samples from monitoring well MW-11,during the fourth quarter 2003 indicate the <br /> presence of 1,2-DCA <br /> . This work plan is prepared in accordance with Cleanup and Abatement (C&A) Order No 93-701 <br /> and in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) <br /> guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tanks (UST) sites <br /> 20 BACKGROUND <br /> In 1985,two 10,000-gallon,one 6,000-gallon and one 1,000-gallon underground storage tank(UST) <br /> were removed from the site No samples were collected from the tank excavation In October 1985, <br /> San Joaquin County required G-REM to conduct a site investigation of suspected leakage from the <br /> 1,000-gallon waste oil tank <br /> Between 1986 and 2002, thirty-two soil borings, seven vapor extraction wells, one ground water <br /> extraction well and nineteen ground water monitoring wells were installed on and near the site <br /> Ground water monitoring was conducted at the site by Kleinfelder in 1985, Brown and Caldwell <br /> from February 1986 to July 1990,PES Environmental Inc and Blaine Tech Services,Inc from May <br /> 1991 to September 1991,Sun Tech Environmental Inc from December 1991 to July 1993,Geologic <br /> Audit Services, Inc (GeoAudit) from September 1993 to September 1994 and AGE from March <br /> 1995 to the present <br /> A Problem Assessment Report(PAR)was prepared by PES Environmental Inc and submitted to the <br /> CVRWQCB in July 1991 A Final Remediation Plan (FRP).was prepared by GeoAudit and <br /> submitted to the CVRWQCB in July 1993 <br /> Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc <br /> i + <br />
