The assessment will include penetration borings and possibly groundwater monitoring <br /> wells to detect petroleum hydrocarbons in soil or groundwater near the fuel tanks and dispensers. <br /> Site Description <br /> The site is located on the southwest corner of North Cherokee Lane and Elm Street(Figure in Enclosure <br /> A). Depth to groundwater measured at an adjacent site ranges from approximately 55 to 60 feet below <br /> surface grade(bsg). Groundwater flow direction is toward the southeast. <br /> Proposed Scope of Work <br /> The scope of work being proposed is to evaluate the extent of residual petroleum hydrocarbons, if any, in <br /> the soil and groundwater in the vicinity of the former USTs and former fuel dispensers.
