(Delta), was authorized liy Ultramar Inc. to destroy monitoring <br /> wells MW-1 through MW-5 at the above-referenced site(Figure 1). The locations of the monitoring <br /> wells and other site features are illustrated in Figure 2. Destruction of the wells was required in the <br /> letter from San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(County), dated February 6, 1996, , <br /> as the final requirement for regulatory closure of the site. A copy of the County's letter is included <br /> in Enclosure A. <br /> i' The wells were destroyed on March 18 and 19, 1996, by overdrilling and grouting with neat cement <br /> grout, in accordance with Delta's work plan dated, March 4. 1996. The well destructions were <br /> conducted under the inspection of Mr. Harlan Knoll representing the County.
