Cherokee Lane
Lodi, CA
G San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental''!Health Division (PHS/EHD) is the
j lead agency providing the oversight of the investigation and cleanup of releases from
underground storage tanks within San Joaquin County. PHS/EHD has a contract with
California State Water Resources Control Board to conduct an underground storage tank
corrective action program. The above referenced site was placed in the PHS/EHD Local
Oversight Program (LOP) in October 1990.
i
On October 26, 1995 you met with the PHS/EHD Technical Review Committee (TRC). At
i that meeting, we reviewed and discussed your Site Closure Evaluation Report. The report
! submitted to the TRC had inaccuracies and chronological inconsistencies. The TRC had
questions regarding site assessment work and remediation work you could not answer
satisfactorily.
The TRC has determined that the following items must be addressed and submitted for review
before this site can be considered for closure:
An accurate site map including the areas overexcavated in relationship to wells and
a
soil borings.
i
A cross section depicting residual soil contamination':with mass volume calculations.
i
An accurate account of the VES including calculations and/or contours of the zone of
influence and operation times.
Site Closure certification occurs only after reporting requirements are met and all wells are
f properly destroyed under permit from PHS/EHD. The "Leaking Underground Fuel Tank
Manual" published by the State Water Resource Control Board and the "Regional Board Staff
I
Recommendations For Initial Evaluations and Investigation of Underground Tanks" published
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
