Computer Data <br /> Base indicates that soil and ground water contamination were <br /> identified at the Beacon Station at 35 North Cherokee Lane, Lodi, <br /> as of 7 November 1986. our records also indicate that the last <br /> site activity report submitted by Beacon was a workplan dated 26 <br /> May 1987. To date, commitments rade by Beacon to define the <br /> extent of contamination and remediate the site, have not been <br /> fulfilled. A Problem Assessment Report, completely defining the <br /> vertical and horizontal extent,of soil and ground water <br /> contamination, and proposing 7,imediati�on to cleanup that <br /> contamination, is due in this office a August 1988. Failure to <br /> comply with this request may subject Beacon to formal enforcement <br /> action. <br /> Section 13267 of the California Water Code states, in part, that: <br /> "(a) A regional board, in establishing or reviewing any <br /> water quality control plan or waste discharge <br /> requirements, or in connection with any action relating <br /> to any plan or requirement or authorized by this <br /> division, may investigate the quality of any waters of <br /> the state within its region. <br /> (b)-In-conducting-an investigation-spec w e - n -- ---- --- - <br /> subdivision-(a) , the regional board may require that <br /> any .person discharging or proposing to discharge waste <br /> within its region or any citizen or domiciliary, or <br /> Vit: political agency or entity of this state discharging or <br />
