(Delta), was authorized by Ultramar Inc. to destroy soil vapor <br /> extraction (SVE) wells VW-6, VW-7, VW-8 and VW-9 at the above-referenced site on <br /> February 16, 1995. The location of the site is shown in Figure 1. The SVE wells were located in <br /> the vicinity of the site's underground fuel storage tanks as shown in Figure 2. It is anticipated that <br /> the upper (at least 15 feet) portion of the destroyed wells will be excavated during underground tank <br /> removal operations, which are scheduled to occur in the near future. <br /> The wells were destroyed by pressure grouting with a neat cement/bentonite slurry to within <br /> approximately 2 feet below surface grade.
