Station No. 502, 35 N. Cherokee Lane, Lodi , - Interim Remediation Plan <br /> continuously. The unit is equipped with an automatic temperature control <br /> device which turns off the entire system in the event the catalyst bed <br /> temperature exceeds 1050OF or falls below 6000F. The temperature of the <br /> catalyst is recorded continuously. <br /> The temperature of the catalyst bed increases with the concentration of <br /> the influent. The unit is designed for a maximum influent concentration <br /> of about 3250 ppm or 25% of the Low Explosive Limit (LEL) for gasoline. <br /> Specifications for the incinerator are presented in Appendix C. <br /> REGULATORY AUTHORIZATION AND PERMITTING <br />` Authorization to operate the incinerator is required from the San Joaquin <br /> Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District. EVAX Technologies <br /> submitted for the necessary air permits in June 1991 . The application <br /> was deemed complete by the District in August 1991. The approved <br /> Authority to Construct was issued on 13 January 1992. <br /> Notification of the operation will also be issued to other local agencies <br /> including the San Joaquin County Public Health Services and the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> Pursuant to Section 280.67, Subpart F of 40 CFR of the Federal Register, <br /> the public must be notified of the proposed remedial action plan. To <br /> satisfy this requirement, a copy of this plan will be made available for <br /> public review at the Manteca Library. <br /> CCOFL� Of- W �it -�S <br /> CATALYTIC INCINERATOR INSTALLATION <br /> The catalytic incinerator and accumulator/water knockout device will be <br /> delivered to the site, installed in the equipment area and connected to <br /> the extraction system. <br /> OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br /> The system will be operated and maintained by EVAX Technologies Field <br /> Operations Group. These activities will be under the direction of an <br /> EVAX Technologies Project Engineer. <br /> Start-up <br /> Upon satisfying all regulatory requirements, operation of the vapor <br /> extraction system will begin. The required source testing will be <br /> - 6 - <br />
