Soil dark stained and PHS- <br /> EHD staff notes "odors" in one o two soil samples taken at removal. <br /> Contractor replaces stockpiled s it from removal back in pit. <br /> 09/29/98 UAR and Prop 65 filed this date after report of UST removal indicates TPH <br /> as oil detected in soil samples at 7,400 mg/kg in sample "TK-2-3". <br /> 12/15/98 Responsible party Henry Hansei sent EHD letter requiring further <br /> investigation. <br /> 02/22/99 Site enters Local Oversight Program (LOP). <br /> 05/24/99 PHS-EHD contacts RP and requests work plan for lateral and vertical soil <br /> investigation. Power of attorney for Mr. Hansen, Mr. Jim Verseput advises <br /> he will handle the site and will get PHS-EHD a work plan after he <br /> contracts with a consultant. <br /> 01/13/99 Work plan dated September 30, 1999 received today from consulting firm <br /> WZI, Steven Muir. Four soil borings to 50 feet below ground surface <br /> ('bgs) proposed. Soil samples for only partial waste oil protocol proposed. <br /> 02/04/00 PHS-EHD approves work plan vyith additional requirements and lists them <br /> in correspondence. Sixty (60) days allowed to have all fees and permit <br /> applications submitted. <br /> 06/05/00 No submittals received within si y-day period. PHS-EHD sends <br /> additional correspondence (14-day enforcement letter) this date. <br /> 06/15/00 Well/soil boring permit issued in field today after proper signature <br /> obtained. Soil boring "SB-1" pla a in former pit today. Only one of four <br /> soil borings proposed in work plan placed. <br /> 09/11/00 Report, "Fallow-up Soil Sampling Program after UST Removal" dated 7- <br /> 15-00 and received 8-31-00 reviewed today. No TPH as oil run on any <br /> soil sample collected from "SB-1 '. Unable to confirm if 7,400 mg/kg found <br /> at UST removal present in only twvo soil samples analyzed from "SB-1" at <br /> 11' or 16' bgs. <br />
