Mr.Nuel Henderson,Jr. • October 15,2002
ARCO Station 6100 Project No.U 6100
Work Plan Page 8
Task 4: WASTE MANAGEMENT
Drilling mud, water, and soil cuttings generated during mud rotary drilling will be stored in a
self-contained compartmentalized soil bin. Soil cuttings generated during air-rotary casing-
hammer drilling will be stored in a roll-off bin. The bins will be stored at the site pending
disposal at an appropriate facility. Samples for disposal characterization will be collected and
analyzed by the disposal facility. Wastewater generated will be properly containerized and
hauled to an appropriate disposal facility. An appropriately licensed contractor will transport the
waste material.
Task 5: REPORT PREPARATION
Following receipt of all analytical results, a report documenting the findings of the investigation
will be prepared. The report will include, but not be limited to, analytical tables, a scaled site
plan, geologic cross sections, boring logs, certified analytical report, and general findings of the
assessment. hi the event that further assessment is warranted, an additional scope of work will
be proposed in the report. The Site Conceptual Model will be updated to include data collected
during this investigation.
SCHEDULE
Following approval of the work plan, Stratus will forward an access agreement to the property
owner south of the ARCO Facility, and will initiate encroachment proceedings with San Joaquin
County. Once the access to all well locations has been granted, the proposed work will be
scheduled. Implementation of the work will depend on driller availability.
If you have any questions regarding this work plan, please contact Jay Johnson at
(530) 676-6000.
Sincerely,
STRATU5 ENWRONMENTA N JGEOO
No.5577
Stephen J.
