(Stratus) has prepared this response to your letter of July 17, <br /> 2002, at the request of Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO). Your letter requested a <br /> Work Plan for implementation of soil vapor extraction, continued free product removal <br /> from well MW-1, and additional assessment at the subject site. A Site Conceptual Model <br /> (SCM) is to provide the basis and rationale for the scope of work proposed in the work <br /> plan. Your letter requested the work plan be submitted to the Environmental Health <br /> Department by August 6, 2002. <br /> Mr. Jay Johnson of Stratus contacted you via telephone on July 19, 2002, to discuss the <br /> letter and the due date for the requested work plan. During this telephone conversation, it <br /> was agreed that Stratus would submit a request for extension of the work plan due date to <br /> allow for development of the SCM.
