(VERTEX)prepared this Site Assessment Work Plan (Work <br /> Plan) on behalf of, Mr. Ronald Robertson of Grating Pacific, Inc. This Work Plan identifies the <br /> technical approach and methods recommended to perform site assessment tasks to investigate <br /> environmental conditions in groundwater at the site. Work proposed in this plan will be <br /> performed in a manner consistent with common professional practices in the California Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board. Tri-Valley Region for similar work scope to meet the stated <br /> objectives. <br /> The goal of this site assessment is to investigate the potential presence of volatile organic <br /> compounds (VOCs) in the groundwater along the western property boundary of the subject <br /> The scope of work will include the following tasks: <br /> • Drill four, (4) temporary soil borings using Direct Push Technology(DPT); <br /> • Collect groundwater samples at each proposed,drilling location; <br /> • Analyze groundwater collected from each,location for VOCs; <br /> • Report findings to client. <br /> 2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located at the Eastgate Business Park, located at 757 East IIth Street, Tracy, San <br /> Joaquin County, California, 95304. The site is comprised of a single, rectangular-shaped. parcel, <br /> approximately 2.75 acres in area. The site is located within an industrial area of the City of <br /> Tracy, approximately 1 mile northeast of downtown. According to the City of Tracy Planning <br /> Department, the site's zoning designation is Industrial Development. <br /> The site is located in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Marian. Court and Stoneridge <br /> Drive and is bounded by undeveloped land to the north, a commercial warehouse complex to the <br /> east, and Mariani Court and the ,former Heinz Food Plant to the west. Stoneridge Drive and a <br /> vacant lot currently under development are located south, of the site. A mesh wire fence <br /> delineates the cast perimeter of the site. Fire hydrants were observed on the northwest and <br /> southwest quadrants. A metal utility cabinet is located.next to the southeast fire hydrant. Pacific <br /> Bell utility vaults are located along the west and south perimeters. A Pacific Gas and Electric <br /> Company (PG&E) distribution panel and utility marker are located along the west perimeter. <br /> Lampposts are located near the southwest and northwest comers of theroe Two pad- <br /> mounted above ground transformers are located near the northwest coater of the site Please <br /> refer to Figure I- Site Plan for a depiction of the site. <br /> 1 <br />
