As part of the investigation
activities, a vapor extraction well was installed on your property in June of 1995 under the
provisions of the access agreement between you and ARCO. The vapor extraction well
located on your property must now be abandoned consistent with the requirements of the
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division, requirements.
Therefore, as outlined under item 3.5 of the access agreement Pinnacle will access your
property to complete the well abandonment activities. The activites will consist of sealing
the well with cement gout and drilling out the upper 5 feet. The upper 5 feet will be
backfilled to existing grade with soil. The work is scheduled for July 2, 1998, and will take
approximately 2 hours to complete. If you have any questions, please call either Mark
Capps at (530) 676-6881 or Joel Coffman at (530) 676-6882.
4Sincs, R.G.
