One condition is to install a shallow well between
the potential contaminant source area and the municipal well regardless of analytical results from grab
groundwater samples. This well is to act as a sentinel well between the contaminant area and the City of
Lodi municipal well and will be installed with the other wells, during the second phase of drilling at the
site. Because a well is being required a groundwater grab sample in this area will not be necessary. The
first phase will now consist of three soil borings with grab groundwater sampling. The second phase
will now consist of the installation of one on-site deep groundwater monitoring well, one off-site shallow
groundwater monitoring well and up to three additional off-site shallow groundwater monitoring wells as
needed.
If you have any questions or comments regarding this workplan addendum, please call Mr. Vernon
Elarth at(916)679-2299.
Sincerely, RED,GE of
ON
?A UC F OQx
URS Corporation Americas
No. 7 20
* _ Exp. , / G
Matthew Farris Vernon Elarth,R.G.
Staff Geologist Project Manager 9TF OF CAFO
Enclosure: Attachment A SJCEHD Correspondence
URS Corporation
Crown Corporate Center
2870 Gateway Oaks Drive,Suite 300
Sacramento,CA 95833
Tel:916.679.2000
Fax:916.679.2900 K:\WprocessVS BP ARCO\00760\2004 Assessment\760 workplan addendum.doc
