The Site location is shown on Figure 1. <br /> The purpose of the proposed monitoring wells is to delineate the lateral extent of the petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon plume at the Site. The vapor probes will be used in a vapor intrusion pathway <br /> evaluation. This work plan presents a brief Site description, a summary of previous Site <br /> assessments, and a detailed scope of work proposed for additional Site assessment. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is a former ARCO gasoline station and AM/PM mini-mart,located at 225 S.Cherokee Lane in <br /> Lodi, California (Figure 1). The site is bound by an alley to the north, Lodi Avenue to the south, <br /> residential property to the west, and S. Cherokee Lane to the east (Figure 2). As part of divestment <br /> activities all underground storage tanks (USTs), dispensers and associated piping were removed in <br /> August 2002. The site is currently operated as a used car dealership <br /> SITE ASSESSMENT HISTORY <br /> Originally,three(8,000 gallon,8,000 gallon,and 6,000 gallon)underground storage tanks(USTs),and <br /> three (two 550-gallon and one 200-gallon) waste oil USTs were present at the site. In September <br /> 1988, one 550-gallon UST was removed. In June and July 1991, the three gasoline USTs and <br /> remaining two waste oil USTs,and associated underground product delivery lines were removed. The <br /> gasoline USTs were replaced with four 10,000 gallon gasoline USTs. <br /> Vapor extraction wells VW-1 through VW-13 were installed From June 1991 to June 1995. <br /> Groundwater monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 were installed in 1994 to monitor the <br /> concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater and to evaluate the direction of <br /> groundwater flow and the hydraulic gradient beneath the site.
