<br /> to present the information you requested durtup our telephone conversation of July `l, 1991,
<br /> and to request authorization to install product-delivery lines at the subject site, At the
<br /> request of ARCO Products Compariv (ARCO), Applied GeoSystems is conducting sur
<br /> environmental investigation and designing a soil remediation system that will be installed
<br /> at the site, The site location is shown on the Site Vicinity Alap, Plate 1. 77te location of
<br /> present and former site features are shown the Generalized Site Plan, Plate 2.
<br /> Applied GeoSystems' field geologist was onsite on July 5, 1991,to collect soil samples from
<br /> the product-pipeline trenches. Mr. Eric Trevina of the San Joaquin County Public Health
<br /> Services, Environmental Health Department (SICPI4S-EHD), was onsite to inspect rile
<br /> locations Where the samples were collected. Sample locations are shown on the Sample
<br /> Location Alap, Place 3. Samples were collected using, the methods described in our Plan t
<br /> 38048-2W dated April 24, 1589. Soil samples were delivered to a Fric.eco - California
<br /> t Analytical Laboratory in West Sacramento, California, (Hazardous Wase_ 'Testing No. for
<br /> analysis of total petrolcurtl hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) using environmental Protection
<br /> Agency (EPA) modified Method 8015, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene
<br /> isomers using. EPA Method 8020,ethylene dibromide using PPA Method 5040, and total
<br /> lead gain.g Method 6010.
<br /> Analytical results indicated gasoline hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples from
<br /> locations l and 3 (shown on Plate 3); however, gasoline hydrocarbons were not detected in
