Mr Kyle Christie Protect 0805-142 003
April 27, 1995
Page 3
agreement EMCON has received authorization, from the property owner north
of the site (Mrs Martinez),to drill and install one vapor extraction well
• EMCON performed quarterly groundwater sampling
• EMCON prepared and subimutted a workplan, dated February 22, 1995, to
conduct an additional subsurface investigation to the San Joaquin County Public
Health Services (SJCPHS)
• On February 14, 1995, EMCON submitted a letter to the SJCPHS. The letter
addressed comments from the SJCPHS regarding the Site Caparison Report for
ARCO service station nos 760 and 548 (1612 Hammer Lane, Stockton)
ANTICIPATED WORK
• Once access has been obtained,EMCON will conduct further off-site assessment,
which will include installation of two vapor extraction wells
o ARCO will continue quarterly monitoring The next sampling event is tentatively
scheduled for May 1995
CONCLUSIONS
TOG and benzene were below laboratory detection limits in all wells TPHG was detected in
all wells TPHD was not detected in wells MW-2 and MW-3, but was detected in well MW-1
However, the laboratory indicated that the sample from well MW-1, analyzed for diesel,
contained a hydrocarbon component that eluted in the diesel range. The laboratory indicated
that the eluding peak did not match the typical diesel fingerprint
The groundwater flow direction was toward the south, winch is consistent with the previous
sampling event EMCON requests the assistance of SJCPHS to obtam access from Mr and
Mrs Miguel Guerrero
DOCUMENT DISTRIBUTION
We recommend that copies of this report be forwarded
Mr Linda Turkette
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division
P O Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
SACNN 1PJ010805108051420 3AL-941dms 1
