Mr Chuck Carmel Project 0905-111 01 <br /> September 12, 1994 <br /> Page 2 <br /> i <br /> I <br /> Concord, California The results of analyses are summarized in Table 2 Copies of the j <br />' laboratory analysis reports are presented in Attachment A <br />' TPHG concentrations ranged from 31 parts per billion ([ppb] well MW-2) to 51 ppb (well <br /> MW-3), and concentrations of benzene ranged from below detection limits (wells MW-2 <br /> and MW-3) to 0 3 ppb (well MW-1) Benzene concentrations have remained below <br />' maximum contaminant level since the monitoring program was initiated TPHG and <br /> benzene concentrations are shown on Figure 1 TOG and TPHD were not detected in <br /> groundwater samples collected from all wells <br /> WORK IN PROGRESS <br />' ARCO will continue to perform quarterly groundwater monitoring The third quarter <br /> sampling event is scheduled for September 1994 ARCO is continuing efforts to obtain <br /> access to property north and west of the site to further characterize the extent of <br />' hydrocarbons Access agreements were mailed to Pamela Martinez (property owner north <br /> of the site) on May 1, 1993, and June 15, 1993, and she will be sent a third agreement <br /> in the third quarter of 1994 Inquiries as to the status of the property west of the site are <br /> currently being directed to the city of Lodi <br /> CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> TPHG was detected at low concentration~ in all wells, and benzene was below maximum <br /> contalrunant levels However, TOG and TPHD concentrations were below detection limits <br /> in all wells The groundwater flow direction was toward the northeast During the <br /> previous sampling event (March 1994), groundwater flow direction was towards the <br />' southeast The groundwater elevation beneath the Site has lowered approximately 2 feet <br /> since the first quarter monitoring event <br />' DOCUMENT DISTRIBUTION <br /> We recommend that copies of this report be forwarded <br />' Mr Linda Turkette <br /> San Joaquin Public Health Services <br />' P O Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> 1A lj3ilr1N05'D805i 110 Id1-94 lfL 6 <br />
