In conjunction with our investigation, ARCO <br /> has requested that RESNA perform an offsite environmental investigation at nearby <br /> properties This letter is to request authorization for RESNA and our subcontractors to <br /> install one vapor-extraction well on your property, the parking area behind 546 East Walnut <br /> Street, which is north of the ARCO station. The environmental investigation we propose <br /> to conduct on your property will provide data on the condition of soil north of the site, as <br /> required by the San Joaquin County Health Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> We have enclosed ARCO's License Agreement and three plates Plate 1 is an Area Site <br /> Plan showing features near the ARCO station and the approximate location of the vapor- <br /> extraction well we propose to install in the parking area on your property The proposed <br /> location of the well is such that the installation will cause the least inconvenience to the <br /> management and customers of the business located on your property Plate 2, a Schematic <br /> Vapor-Extraction Well Design, shows the construction of a typical vapor-extraction well <br /> installed by RESNA for projects throughout California <br /> The vapor-extraction well will be drilled using a truck-mounted drill rig with 10-inch- <br /> diameter augers A 4-inch-diameter polyvinyl chloride casing will be installed in the boring <br /> For safety and security reasons, the top of the casing will be fitted with a locking cap and <br /> an aluminum cover with specially designed fasteners.
