We understand that EMCON will collect <br /> groundwater samples unless ARCO requests another company to collect samples <br /> o Contract a licensed surveyor to survey the location of the borings and wells with <br /> respect to other onsite wells, the trace of underground utilities and structures, and <br /> the elevation of the wellhead with respect to mean sea level. <br /> o Collect four soil samples from the drill cuttings to be composited at the laboratory <br /> and analyzed for TPHg, TPHd, and BTEX using previously stated methods Results <br /> of analyses will be used to evaluate disposal options Drill cuttings will be stored at <br /> the ARCO station We will provide ARCO's contractors with the laboratory data <br /> needed for disposal of drill cuttings and water from the decontamination of drilling <br /> equipment <br /> o Interpret the field and analytical data to assess the extent of hydrocarbons in soil and <br /> groundwater beneath the site The results of this investigation and our <br /> recommendations will be discussed with ARCO and included in a Problem <br /> Assessment Report, if hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater are delineated If <br /> further assessment is required, the Problem Assessment Report will be deferred and <br /> the results of our investigation will be included in a status report. <br /> The work will be performed in accordance with the methods and procedures described in <br /> RESNA's Work Plan No 38048-3W, dated April 23, 1990, the attached Field Procedures, <br /> and Tri-Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and <br /> Investigation of Underground Tank Sites (California Regional Water Quality Control Board, <br /> Central Valley Region, August 1990); Appendix A to that document (August 1991), and the <br /> Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Manual (California Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Task <br /> Force, 1989) <br /> Project Staff <br /> Mr Richard H Walls, a Registered Engineer in the State of California (P E 43139), will <br /> be in charge of this project Mr David F Stavarek, Project Geologist, will manage field and <br /> office operations RESNA employs a staff of geologists, engineers, and technicians who will <br /> help complete the project <br /> . 091-k-car <br /> 3W48-10 3 <br />
