Cherokee Lane,Lodi, California <br /> Dear Ms Lagorio <br /> URS Corporation Americas (URS), on behalf of Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO — a BP-affiliated <br /> company), has prepared this site closure report for the former ARCO Service Station No 760 located at <br /> 225 S Cherokee Lane,Lodi, California(site) <br /> This closure report has been prepared in response to a telephone request from you on October 17, 2005, <br /> which requested that an updated closure report be prepared and that it include mass balance data as well <br /> lie) as the Appendix B checklist items The following pages present the site background with assessment <br /> activities and findings, contaminant mass remaining and distribution, sensitive receptors, and <br /> conclusions and recommendations <br /> 1 <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is a former ARCO gasoline station, with an AM/PM mini-mart, located at 225 S Cherokee <br /> Lane in Lodi, California (Figure 1) The site is currently operated as a used car dealership The site is <br />'i bound by an alley to the north, Lodi Avenue to the south, residential property to the west, and S <br /> Cherokee Lane to the east (Figure 2) <br /> Previous Investigations <br /> As part of divestment activities, under URS supervision, all underground storage tanks (USTs), <br /> dispensers and associated piping were removed in August 2002 Initial soil samples indicated petroleum <br /> contamination was present, therefore, over-excavation was conducted to remove impacted soil Results <br /> of initial and over-excavation soil samples are provided in Attachment A <br /> Analytical results of groundwater samples collected from three on site monitoring wells between <br /> October 2002 and July 2003 identified the presence of 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) at the site On <br /> March 22 and 23, 2004, Phase I of a 2-phase site assessment was conducted Three off-site vertical soil <br /> borings (B-25, B-26, and B-27) were advanced to a depth of 65 feet below ground surface (bgs), and <br /> .
