' 2 BACKGROUND <br />' The subject site is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of South Cherokee <br /> Lane and Lodi Avenue, in Lodi, California (see Figure 1) The site has a total area of <br /> approximately 1/2 acre The properties adjacent to the site are commercial and residential <br />' The site is owned by ARCO and is currently an operating retail gasoline station <br /> 2.1 Underground Storage Tanks <br /> Originally two 8,000-gallon and one 6,000-gallon gasoline underground storage tanks <br />' (USTs [Tl, T2, and T3, respectively]), and two 550-gallon and one 200-gallon waste-oil <br /> USTs (T8, T10, and T9, respectively) were present at the site In September 1988, one <br /> 550-gallon waste-oil tank (TIO) was removed In June and July 1991, the three gasoline <br />' USTs (T1, T2, and T3), two waste-oil tanks (T8 and T9), and associated underground <br /> product delivery lines were removed The gasoline USTs were replaced with four <br /> 10,000-gallon gasoline USTs (T4, T5, T6, and T7 [see Figure 2]) <br /> 2.2 !dater Supply !delis <br />' EMCON researched well locations within a 1/2-!rule radius of the site at the Department <br />' of Water Resources (DWR) Information obtained at the DWR Identified one domestic <br /> well and two sites with monitoring wells Information from these wells 1s presented In <br /> Table 1, and well locations are depicted on Figure 1 The wells are located north of the <br />' site The nearest well is a water supply well, which is approximately 1,200 feet from the <br /> site <br /> SA(NN V'JOMOW8051420 4BS-97Ylrz I Rev 0 31121'97 <br /> 20805 142 004 2-1 <br />
