330 South Cherokee Lane TLP 3794-445
December 1, 1994 Page 3
Drilling activities will be supervised by a Twining geologist. The Twining geologist will be
working under the professional supervision of a California registered geologist.
Task 3 — Laboratory Analysis
Soil samples collected during this investigation will be submitted to Twining's California—certified
laboratory (Certificate No. 1371) in Fresno, California. Proper chain—of—custody and quality
.a<• ed(t1itI+control procedures will be followed.
Selected soil samples will be analyzed for TPH—G and.TPH-D by gas chromatographgMarne Y
ionization detection. Soil samples analyzed for TPH—G and TPH—D will be prepared by United
States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) method 5030. Selected soil samples will
also be analyzed for BTEX according to U.S. EPA method 8020 and prepared by U.S. EPA
method 5030.
Based on the premise that soil samples will be collected from nine soil borings,Twining estimates
that four soil samples will be analyzed for TPH—G and BTEX, two soil samples analyzed for
TPH—D, and 12 soil samples analyzed for TPH—D, TPH—G, and BTEX.
Task 4 — Report Preparation
Twining will prepare a report documenting and describing activities performed. Subsequent
reports will present new data and incorporate previous data.
The report will include an executive summary of investigation activities and results, site location
map, site plan showing soil boring locations, boring logs, stratigraphic cross—sections (if
appropriate),and laboratory analytical reports with chains—of—custody documentation. The report
will be completed within two weeks of receipt of analytical data.
g :r be
for`titisp 1TlI IN11
.:.
n
schedule for this project, and Table 3 contains a bid response form required for clients seeking
reimbursement.
