Part 3 Completion <br /> 3.01 Start-up and Field Testing <br /> The pump manufacturer shall provide the services of a factory trained and qualified <br /> representative to insure the pump station is installed properly and without defects, test <br /> the system and instruct the owner or owner's personnel in proper operation and <br /> maintenance of the pump system. <br /> The Contractor will provide the necessary means to successfully start and operate the <br /> grinder pumps, including a minimum 294 gallons of water, 230v power supply and a <br /> minimum of one construction worker to facilitate and coordinate start-up for each <br /> grinder pump station. Contractor will coordinate with engineer, system supplier and <br /> manufacturer to establish a date and time for start-up. The contractor will be <br /> responsible for the satisfactory installation and operation of the pressure sewer system. <br /> Proper start-up by pump manufacturer representative shall consist of the following <br /> procedure: <br /> 1. Thorough inspection of installation and wiring to make sure there are no <br /> installation errors. <br /> 2. Fill the tank with water with the H/O/A switch on the off position. When the <br /> audible alarm sounds the switch should be turned to automatic and the pump <br /> will evacuate the station and the alarm will turn off. <br /> 3. When the pump turns off the representative should briefly turn the pump into <br /> Hand to operate the pumps manually. <br /> 4. Complete a Manufacturers start-up report for the owner and engineer. The start- <br /> up report should be done digitally and contain pump serial#, voltage, running <br /> current, photographs confirming proper installation and operation at the time of <br /> start-up and any other pertinent information. The engineer and owner will <br /> receive a copy of the MSR via email from pump representative. <br /> 10 <br />
