FLYGT
a xylem brand Issued: 9/07 Supersedes: 6/07
Level Probe
Typical Application t
For use with Flygt pump controllers when combined with C
MIO 201 (P/N 40-501404). The Level probe can also be
used with conductance relays designed to operate with
conductance probe. r 3 1/2"
1
Description
The Flygt Level Probe provides a rugged, safe, reliable 2
and cost-effective means to measure liquid level for water ¢: 5"
and waste water pumping applications. The Level Probe 3 `
may be ordered with one, three or ten electrodes with
various spacing in between. The Level Probe is typically 4
connected to a pump controller (or conductance relay)
that is designed to monitor a conductance probe and 5
perform level measurement. The level is detected when B
the liquid level is high enough to touch one or more of 6 A
the stainless steel electrodes on the Level Probe. The
controller (or conductance relay) sends out a level
sense signal to each electrode on the Level Probe. 7
The signal typically consists of a ±12V square wave,
capable of supplying no more than 1.5mA. When the 8 —1 1/4"
liquid being measured touches one of the electrodes,
the square wave signal is diverted to ground through the 9
conductive liquid. The change in the signal is detected
by the control device and used to determine the liquid __Tlevel. 10 2"
SPECIFICATIONS ORDERING INFORMATION
Electrode Material: Avesta 254 SMO
High Grade Number Probe Electrode Cable
Stainless Steel Alloy Part of Length Spacing Length
Probe Casing Material: PVC Number Electrodes inches inches feet
Cable: PVC/PVC A B C
Multi-conductor 14-414000 1 7 X 50
Operating Temp: +32 to +140 °F 14-414001 3 19 6 50
14-414003 10 61 6 50
Both 14-414002 and 14-414005 10 97 10 50
14-414003 approved. 14-414006 10 115 12 50
Recommend 14-414002.
