LEVEL PROBE <br /> INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS <br /> r <br /> oom"" <br /> INC <br /> 1. The Level Probe must be placed above the level of the pump inlet and far enough away to keep it from be- <br /> ing sucked towards the pump(s). <br /> 2. The Level Probe must be placed so that it is at least 1 foot away from touching anything in the wet well. <br /> 3. The Level Probe must not be placed so that the Inflow pours directly onto the Level Probe. However, to aid <br /> in keeping it clean, the Inflow may be allowed to splash liquid up onto the Probe. <br /> 4. Do not run the Level Probe's cable in a conduit with pump power cables or float switch wiring. The Level <br /> Probe's cable must be run in a separate conduit away from all AC wires or cables. <br /> 5. Do not place the Level Probe's cable near the pump power cables. Leave at least 1 foot separation. <br /> 6. The Mounting Bracket and Squeegee should be mounted as shown below. Adjust the height of Level Probe <br /> and secure the cable to the S-Hook with two Tie Straps. <br /> 7. Leave enough slack in cable between the S-Hook and the entrance to the conduit, to allow for the raising of <br /> the Level Probe during routine cleaning. <br /> 8. Seal the conduit at the control panel or junction box to prevent corrosive gases from entering. <br /> 9. Connect the Level Probe wires to a terminal block in the control panel or junction box as shown below. The <br /> wiring from the terminal block to the pump control device(s) should be routed separate from all A/C wiring. <br /> 10. The liquid in the wet well must be grounded to the control panel ground. Where a submersible pump is pre- <br /> sent the grounded housing of the pump is sufficient. If there is no other means to ground the liquid, a single <br /> point Level Probe may be placed near the bottom of the wet well and connected to control panel ground. <br /> 11.
