Fletcher RE C E I fir' E D <br /> Coordinator - Environmental Affairs <br /> ;pF�l i ) <br /> SUBJECT: Monthly Status Report - March 1990 <br /> Douglas Gas Station ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> 900 South Cherokee Lane .AFFAIRS <br /> Lodi,California <br /> Dear Mr. Fletcher: <br /> This is a monthly status report for the floating product recovery at the above-referenced site, for the month of <br /> March 1990. <br /> Du Pont Environmental Services' technician visited the site on a weekly basis. Typical activities that were <br /> performed during the visit included free-product monitoring and manual bailing of free-product. Free-product <br /> was only observed in monitoring well M-10. <br /> Product has been manually bailed from MW-10 on a weekly basis. During this reporting period approximately <br /> 0.5 gallon of gasoline has been extracted. An automatic skimming system was operating from August 1989 to <br /> January 1990. Because of the thin layer of floating product and slow recharge rate, the automatic skimming <br /> system did not prove to be cost-effective. On January 25, 1990 the automatic skimming system was taken off site <br /> and since then free-product has been removed by manual bailing. Since the inception of the project in August <br /> 1989,approximately 185 gallons of gasoline have been recovered and properly disposed.
