`-V r
AM
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES SUMMPM
 EtTAL HEALTH
The free-product recovery system operated within the regulatory constraints during VL aVf"VY 5 Periodic
inspections were made to ensure that the system was operational. Typical tasks that were performed included
equipment inspection, free-product monitoring and equipment calibration.
Two hundred and twenty gallons of free product and ground water were recovered from monitoring wells MW-
17 and MW-8 during November and December, 1989. We estimate that 25 percent of the total recovered fluid
is free product. Therefore, approximately 55 gallons of product have been removed.
The system was shut down on December 4, 1989, since no free product was observed in MW-17. An inspection
of MW-17 on December 18, 1989 two weeks later did not disclose any more free product. At the same time
MW-8 and MW-10 were inspected and found to contain free product. Therefore, the system was moved to MW-
8 on December 18, 1989 for further recovery of free product.
7u. Pont. EnOronmental Serinces
